 Dr. Jordana Heaven was born in New Jersey and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She attended Emory University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology before heading to the University Of Florida College Of Medicine for her MD. Dr. Heaven returned to Atlanta to complete her pediatric residency training at Emory, working at both Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Hughes Spalding Children’s Hospital. To further her training, she spent 2 years working in Peachtree City with Dr. Van Meter, a pediatric Endocrinologist. She joined WPM in July 2002. Dr. Heaven is Board Certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her special interests include Adolescent Medicine as well as Endocrinology, which includes diabetes, thyroid disease, early and late puberty, and growth issues. Dr. Heaven is actively involved on the medical staff for Camp Kudzu, the camp for children with diabetes. Dr. Heaven is married to Jason Heaven, OD, an Optometrist practicing in Dunwoody. They have a son.
